New Roundabout at Reed & North Avenue
Construction of the single-lane roundabout at Reed and North Avenue is now complete. This marks the second roundabout in the city. Roundabouts reduce traffic congestion and maximize safety for drivers, pedestrians and cyclists because of the slower speeds and fewer points of impact; which have been proven to reduce serious and fatal collisions by up to 80%. In addition, roundabouts reduce delays because drivers are prompted to yield rather than stop at a red light, which allows roundabouts to handle a higher traffic volume for the same number of lanes. Though roundabouts are new for many drivers, they are becoming more commonplace in the Central Valley. Therefore, it is important for the residents and visitors of Reedley to know the basics. You can find helpful videos of roundabout basics and navigation by clicking here and here. Also, you can find a helpful diagram by clicking here

Cricket Hollow Boat Launch Facility Mitigated Negative Declaration dated March 18, 2016. On March 26, 2013, staff submitted an application with the California Department of Boating and Waterways to move forward with the Cricket Hollow Boat Launch Facility project. As part of the grant application process, the City is required to comply with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and other regulatory agencies to obtain the appropriate permitting.
