On August 6, 2020 the Reedley City Council approved a new City Utility Bill and Streetscape Assessment District Forgiveness Program for barbershops, salons and other personal care businesses. Unlike the previous City utility bill relief program, which ended on June 30, 2020, this program is applicable only to licensed and eligible Reedley barbershops, salons, and other personal care service businesses, such as nail salons and massage therapy businesses, as well as indoor museums and entertainment venues, with City utility accounts. In addition, eligible businesses that are within the Streetscape District may also have three months of Streetscape assessments credited to their account.
Gyms, fitness centers, restaurants, retail, offices, cultural centers, and places of worship are not eligible for this program. Businesses must apply and attest that they have fully complied with State orders, and applications for forgiveness must be received by end of business September 30, 2020 to be considered.
